Summary: Overall experience was great. The staff was incredibly friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the special experience of having a functional fireplace in the room. It kept us nice and warm on a chilly night (even though the chimney was rusted with many holes for smoke to enter the room). Alpenhaus is bit far from Capivari, but it was nice to see another part of Campos do Jordao and is really close to Boa Vista Palace. They advertise free wifi, but if you get a room in their second building, there is NO signal. You'll need to use wifi in the public areas.
