Positive: Friendly staff and warm room in nights that dropped below 10C. Generously late check-out (14:00) and breakfast served till 13:00.

Negative: We heard too much noise from reception upstairs, but, more painfully, from a blaring TV in the adjoining room at 22:30 one night. Reception did settle the issue, but there should be clearer communication about quiet hours. Also, some of the amenities are a la carte, like the fire pit and the exterior hot tub. They have to be booked and paid for by the hour, which is a minus. Likewise the Nespresso pods are for sale, but it would hew to industry standards to comp a couple per day.

Summary: A decent choice for the price in a lovely town with countless lodging options.
