Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The highlight was the pool area: the view is amazing. All the common areas are cozy and nice in general. The staff was friendly and attentive in general.

Negative: As soon as we checked in, one of the staff members tried to sell us a religious cult event "tour" for more than 200 reais. I found it very weird, considering religious cults like this are donation based (abusive price) and also kind of invasive and disrespectful, because it was a religious cult that should not be sold as such a touristic attraction like that. At least I would not feel comfortable in a tour like that, if I did not know what it was about. Anyways, about the facilities, there were a bunch of minor issues that together would make me choose somewhere to stay at on a next trip: - The room was smaller than what it seemed to be in the pictures and had only white lights that were way too bright when turned on, making it feel very uncomfortable when inside of the room. The overall feeling on the common areas (garden, breakfast area, reception and pool) was way better than in the room. - The toilet vase was completely wet when we got to the room (the cleaning lady had just washed it and forgot to dry) - At night after coming back from a night out, I saw a small cockroach and I was so tired I could not kill it and had to sleep with it in the room. - I put two boxes of chocolates (that were gifts my friend brought from England) in the minifridge, which defrosted overnight and got everything wet. I could not dry it with the hairdryer because the chocolate would melt, so I had to bring the boxes WET, rolled in toilet paper in my luggage. x_x - The shower glass had stains - overall it looked stained and old... but the worst were the towels provided for shower which were also stained!!! (ew..) - The neighborhood around the pousada feels unsafe and it does not feel nice to wander around the pousada at any time, but specially at night.
