Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is a beautiful property on a cliff overlooking the sea. The house is on a large lot with adjacent parking in a gated lot. Super easy to get the room key and gate access fob. The property is remote from all neighbors and has a great vibe. The house facilities are available for all guests to use and includes a large, open room with views out to the garden. The room we had (Suite 01) was very nice. The intimate jacuzzi tub worked great and has the best views on the property. The room has a huge walk-in closet with lots of storage space. The bed was a lovely 4-post bed with a comfortable mattress, especially for Brazil. The pool was exceptional and much better that the pictures show. The center is a deep area (around 8 feet) and tapers to each end. The pool was meticulously maintained often and was great to relax around. The pool area is well furnished and has a spacious cabana with lounge. This secluded location is very quiet and integrated into the natural surroundings.

Negative: The only drawback can easily be avoided if the owners choose to do so. This area of Cabralia is very quiet and surrounded by trees and bushes. Each morning around 0500 we were woke by howling and barking dogs. Not just a few barks, but sustained howling. The source of the noise is two large dogs that are kept in an area under the pool deck. They would begin to howl and then bark each morning starting at 5am and then again a couple hours later. We texted the property manager and were informed the dogs belong to the property owners and are only kept their when the owners travel. We complained each day when the barking started, and nothing was done. After the third day, the property manager offered to extend our stay two nights for free. We declined as we were traveling home, and staying at the property with the daily wake-up barking is not enjoyable. We will not stay here again due to the dogs disturbing our sleep, and don't agree with the dogs being kept in their pen for the entire four days of our stay.

Summary: This place is a 9.5 without the noisy dogs!
