Positive: The family that owns the pousada was extremely kind and helpful; I have not enough words to describe how they advised me on all matters related to my visit of Lencois. Both the common areas and my room were clean and very quiet. My room was large enough, comfortably furnished, with a big window and a rather firm bed. Breakfast was good, with many options, also for vegetarians - less so for vegans.

Negative: The location is quite far from the center of Lencois, but this can be solved with a car or taxis. Rooms 10 and 11 - I was in room 11 - are only accesible by means of a very narrow staircase, with extremely high irregular steps; the rest of the rooms of the pousada are on the ground floor or accessible by means of a comfortable staircase. The pillows were too hard. There was no good light to read in bed, nor the possibility to put off the central ligh from the bed area. The faucet of the hand bassin was leaking, wetting the towel hanged over it. There was no place to hang the large shower towel. There was no place to put toilet items in the bathroom. The floor of the shower was extremely slippery. There was no way to regulate the temperature of the shower water, which was unbearably warm, to the point the owners offered me to take a shower in another empty room where the water was a little less hot.

Summary: A pousada with wonderful owners who could easily improve their property
