Summary: Maresias is one of the several seaside villages along the coast between Rio de Janeiro and Santos on the Rio-Santos highway. Not far from Paraty and Ilha Bela, the two most popular and exclusive spots along this gorgeous stretch. The hotel was a good choice (thank you Hotels.com), the beach right in front is where reignning World Surfing Champion, Gabriel Medina comes from and local merchants are really proud of his achievements on the beaches of Hawaii in 2014.
