Positive: A Disappointing Stay - Street-Facing Rooms a Nightmare My experience at this hotel was unfortunately quite negative. The biggest issue, by far, was the noise level in the street-facing rooms. If you are assigned one of these rooms, forget about getting a decent night's sleep. It felt like I was sleeping directly on the street – a complete nightmare. Earplugs are an absolute necessity, and frankly, the hotel should invest in soundproof windows for these rooms. Offering such rooms without addressing the noise issue is unacceptable. Beyond the noise, the experience was mixed. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom showed clear signs of age and neglect. There were obvious water stains and mold on the walls, giving a generally unpleasant impression. The hotel tries to present a classic, old-style aesthetic, but it ends up feeling a bit off-putting and unappealing. Breakfast was very basic and unremarkable. However, the most frustrating part of my stay was the confusion surrounding my booking. I had booked two nights with breakfast through Booking.com, but the hotel staff initially claimed they couldn't see the full reservation. They even took pictures of my phone screen as proof of the price and the two-night reservation with breakfast, which felt very unprofessional. Thankfully, I had paid by card and could prove the payment. Afterwards, two other staff members also questioned my reservation. I dread to think what would have happened if I had paid in cash and didn't have proof of payment on my booking app! Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. The issues with the booking process were deeply unsettling, and the problem with the street-facing rooms is a serious flaw. The hotel is committing a fauxpass if it does not improve the noise isolation of these rooms.
