Positive: Location was OK. About a 15 minute walk to south bank. Pool was small but refreshing after a hot day.

Negative: DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! I booked before any reviews were put up and had a bad feeling once reviews were put up after I had booked. Everything in the other reviews happened to us too. While the property location is OK it is not as close to south bank etc as the ad says. Other than that it was not worth staying here. The walls were very badly marked, shower was leaking, the bed in the main room was tiny I ended up sharing the bunk beds with my daughter as there was no room for two people, no curtains only flimsy blinds which did not block the city lights, uncomfortable mattresses. The list goes on. Outside of all this the main problem was similar to that of other reviews and related to the deposit. It is not listed in the terms that you need to send a deposit (says in the terms you give cash and get it back when you leave). The hassle we had giving and receiving the refund was terrible. I was requested to send a copy of my ID by text and also that I would need to give my bank details to get the refund - I was not comfortable giving these details via text to a stranger for obvious reasons. Ended up advocating for use of PayPal eventually. Took a long time to get my refund and I ended up having to get booking.com involved and threaten legal action. Overall not worth the hassle. Better off booking directly with the hotel (Metro Melbourne) as the price is the same with none of the hassle.
